‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers find that viewers have been cringing at the storyline of the lovely heroine, Sasha Gilmore’s purposefully orchestrated descent into madness. Sasha knows something about suffering, and ‘General Hospital’ viewers have suffered along with her.
The first crushing blow came when Sasha came to Port Charles to pretend to be Nina’s daughter. She grew to love Nina Reeves like a mother, and when Nina found out about the lie, she cast Sasha aside.
The next came when she selflessly stepped aside and let her boyfriend Micheal believe she had cheated with Chase so that Micheal and Willow could get married to get custody of baby Wiley.
Then Micheal and Willow Tait fell in love for real, leaving Sasha out of the picture. Sasha turned to drugs for relief and fell into addiction very quickly. She managed to kick the habit with the help of soon to be husband, Brando Corbin.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Tragedy Strikes at General Hospital
We all thought Sasha Gilmore had found the love of her life and would live happily ever after with Brando and their baby, Liam. Liam died at GH after he was born, making Sasha turn to drugs again. She went downhill again fast but miraculously managed to bring herself out of it and make a comeback.
Then, Sasha’s husband was killed by the hook. Despite this tragedy, Sasha managed to stay clean in honor of her beloved Brando. Next, her mother-in-law from hell, Gladys, started to steal Sasha’s money and gambled it away behind her back.
Now Gladys and Sasha’s evil psychiatrist, Dr. Montague, devised a plot for Gladys to be able to keep control of Sasha’s money with the guardianship, not to mention purposefully get her addicted to pills again.
Fans are still waiting for Gladys and the doc to get caught and get what’s coming to them, and that moment couldn’t come fast enough as Sasha continues on a rapid downward spiral. Because of the pills, she hallucinated, thinking she was seeing Cyrus Renault at the Metro Court pool, and unknowingly stabbed Cody Bell.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Greedy Gladys Orchestrates Sasha’s Downfall
Now fans have to watch poor Sasha, who was committed by her psychiatrist to Fern Cliff and is restrained. She is being tortured and drugged up by the doc who keeps injecting her with God knows what, all orchestrated by her pilfering mother-in-law.
Is he giving her something to hallucinate? What is the deal with him giving her these pills in the first place, and what doctor on earth would agree to help their patient and purposefully get them hooked on drugs for what? A card game? An alliance with Gladys Corbin ?
Hopefully, we will find out his motives soon, and he can be stopped. In the meantime, Sasha is struggling at Fern Cliff and is only allowed the visitors that Gladys approves explicitly. And the one person who may be able to help her, Cody Bell, is certainly not on the list.
Although this has been difficult to watch, General Hospital is lucky to have Sofia Mattsson playing Sasha. You can sense her terror and experience her fear as she embraces the role of Sasha on GH.
When will Sasha get a break? Will Sam and Cody team up and bring Sasha back from the brink while she finds love again with Cody? Will she be able to make a comeback? We hope so, and we also hope Gladys and the doc finally pay for the evil deeds they have done. Tune into General Hospital to see what happens to Sasha and find out the outcome.
