‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: GH Latest Shooter Storyline Update Exemplifies AI (Artificial Intelligence) Writing?

‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers have been looking forward to a few loose ends being tied up, and one of those was who shot Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) and who shot Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and paralyzed him.

Well, it looks like the show has employed some lazy writing or some handy dandy AI (artificial intelligence) that’s been credited with some horrible books lately to make the shooter the same person.

This is just… odd to say the least.

There is a chance there’s some grand scheme at play here we’re not seeing it yet, but it seems odd the show would make both shootings the work of the same person given the personal nature and tokens left for Ava Jerome (Maura West).

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Pointing at Cyrus

From the second Austin was shot, ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers suspected Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss), as well as him being the one trying to buy Wyndemere through a shell company.

It made sense given it would be his way to regain the Cassadine estate he gave to Ava and eliminate a rival for her affections.

Given where his mind was and can go, it’s reasonable to expect him to be behind both of them.

We’ve also said that, though Curtis being shot was an accident, it was from Pikeman to send a message to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) not to mess with them and refuse to move their product.

Both make perfect sense and would be great storylines to play out even with Mr. Brennan (Charles Mesure) arrested for his crimes.

That ending felt too quick and too easy, and now it looks like the show’s trying to make it look ultra clever by tying them both together when it’s not needed.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Pointing at Cyrus?

With Brick (Stephan A. Smith)’s explaining offscreen that the shooter was the same person exonerated Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) for the most part, but did it really?

We doubt Sonny will buy that if there’s a hint of Cyrus’ involvement. It’d make sense if Cyrus knew what Austin planned to do, but he was shocked and angry at Austin being killed, so he didn’t order it.

So, we expect him to be the red herring Sonny will waste his time on so the real culprit, probably Pikeman, though why they’d kill Austin is mind boggling, or Nikolas.

Or since it’ll appear clever, they could have Nikolas working with Pikeman. Maybe he’s the real power behind the company now that Mr. Brennan is out of the picture.

We’d just like it to make sense, and right now it looks and feels like the writers are throwing darts at story ideas to come up with something.

What do you think about Brick’s revelation? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
