    General Hospital spoilers for Friday, May 16 reveal Giovanni Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) has apparently accepted the inevitable. Meanwhile, Ava Jerome (Maura West) dishes out advice. Plus, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) speaks truth. Here’s what you need to know.

    General Hospital spoilers for Friday, May 16: Acceptance?

    First, General Hospital spoilers reveal more fuel for the drama when the big secret comes out. They’ve already had Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) basically putting all blame for the party disaster on Gio, well, now Gio Tells Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), “He has no use for me, and I’m good with that.” This is so going to add to the mess when this comes out—and it will.

    Elsewhere, Ava counsels Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr). She’ll advise Portia to change tactics in her battle with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). We think Ava better worry about her own business with Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) now working together.

    Elsewhere, General Hospital spoilers reveal we couldn’t agree with a line of dialogue more. See, Sonny and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) are talking, presumably about the divorce/custody situation. Carly will say she can handle it herself. We love Sonny telling her, “Well, that’s a mistake.” He’s right. Carly already messed up by pushing for a date for the case without even running it by her son. We think she needs to keep her hands far away from what happens next and let Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) deal with it.

    This might end up being the reason Sonny seeks out Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). We imagine he’s going to try to smooth things over, since Carly is the one who was behind the whole push to get the divorce and custody hearing going. Which could very well lead to a discussion that will ultimately expose Drew for paying off that nurse.

    General Hospital spoilers for Friday, May 16: Fuel for the fire

    Finally, we mentioned that the big adoption secret will come out. That’s because Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) is on the hunt. She’ll say Gio’s mother is the key. And we can’t. She has been warned by everyone she’s given any details about this to to back off. But now she’s found an enab—er, ally in Cody Bell (Josh Kelly). So, she feels vindicated and justified in her nosing around in Brook Lynn’s business. And from what she said, it almost sounds like she’s going to claim Brook Lynn’s lied all this time about now knowing where/who the kid is. You know, forgetting the whole idea that Brook Lynn was shocked she had a son. Anything to make her rival look more like the bad guy here.
