‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggests that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) are facing some serious competition in their relationship. Will they be able to overcome this, or will Trina decide she has had enough?
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Difficult Journey
GH’s Spencer and Trina have been a couple a long time in the making. They have experienced a lot of chaos and drama but tentatively have started a relationship.
When Trina found out that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) was her biological father, Spencer was on hand to console her. Then at the 2023 Nurse’s Ball, they kissed and expressed their feelings for one another.
One experience that really bonded them was saving the world from Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) and his plot to rid the world of 80% of the population with a biological weapon.
They faced this situation together and were able to stop him. Since that time when they faced such a challenge together, they have only grown closer.
Trina and Spencer do face opposition to their relationship. Trina’s mother, Dr. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), doesn’t believe that Spencer is a good match for her daughter. The Cassadine family has done some terrible things, and she thinks her daughter deserves someone better.
‘General Hospital’ Spoiler: Weird Situation
At one point, Esme Prince and Spencer Cassadine were a couple. She was using her relationship with him to manipulate him and hurt others.
They broke up and she ended up sleeping with his father, Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss). She gets pregnant and has his child, Ace Prince (Jay and Joey Clay).
Nikolas is missing now and raising Ace has been on Esme’s shoulders. However, Spencer wants to be there for his brother and help to raise him. He even tried to gain custody but was not successful. At this point, Spencer and Esme have moved in together and they are caring for Ace.
This has definitely put a damper on Spencer and Trina’s relationship. Ace comes first, and Esme doesn’t always seem to know how to handle the baby. She either really doesn’t or she just likes to interfere with Spencer and is using the baby to do so.
The problem for Trina is that Ace needs consistent and reliable care. If it was only Esme interfering, then Trina would be strong enough to stand up to her. But if the baby is in need, she is not one to say ‘no’ to Spencer.
Spencer has to leave her birthday party to pick up Ace. When they have a date night, Esme needs Spencer’s help to put the baby to sleep. Ace will be the one that ends up splitting this couple apart, whether Esme intentionally uses him to do so or not.
