General Hospital spoilers relate that star Eden McCoy has opened up about her character Josslyn Jacks and all of the heartbreak she’s been dealing with in recent weeks. After all, trying to be by Oscar’s (Garren Stitt) side as he faces the biggest battle of his life hasn’t been easy for the young teen, both on and off screen. Here’s what she has to say.
General Hospital Spoilers: Eden McCoy Opens Up About Josslyn’s Heartbreak Over Oscar’s Terminal Condition
While Josslyn admits that she has a lot of fun with her General Hospital co-stars behind the scenes, it’s a different story once the camera starts rolling. She told Soaps in Depth in a new interview, “Now I’ve been diving into it for six months straight, bawling my eyes out at work every single day. It’s been challenging and dark, but I love doing the heavy stuff. You learn so much, and I’m grateful that the writers trusted me with this storyline. It’s touching so many people and so many lives. That’s what’s really special.”
Josslyn also says that she’s grateful for being able to learn so much from her co-stars, mostly because there are so many star veterans on the show. “For so long, I was surrounded by adults — which is fantastic,” the 15-year-old maintained. “I really appreciate any advice they have to offer, and Laura Wright (Carly) is literally my mentor and one of my very closest friends. But there’s less pressure with the kids when we’re all together. We just feed off each other’s energies and abilities and try to do our best. It’s been refreshing.”
The talented young actress, however, does admit that all of the emotional scenes do drain the energy out of her by the end of the day! “When I get home, I can’t smile or cry for the life of me,” she confessed. “I don’t care about anything. I’m just a potato.”
