‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggest that Eddie Maine (Wally Kurth) may be starting to remember some of his life as Ned Quartermaine. His wife, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) was hoping that he would remember her. But it appears that Olivia may not be the one who inspires Eddie.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Memory Loss
Ned Quartermaine found out that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was the one who reported Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) to the SEC.
He was excited to share the news with Drew because everyone had been suspecting him. While he did threaten to report them, he had not made the call and he did not like being blamed for it.
As Ned tried to tell Drew at the Metro Court Pool with Nina in pursuit, Ned tripped on some towels on the floor. He fell, hit his head, and fell in the pool. Drew jumped in to rescue him and try to resuscitate him. Although Drew did CPR, and Ned was revived at GH, he experienced serious trauma and brain injury.
Upon waking, Ned doesn’t know who anyone is. He believes that he is Eddie Maine, his stage name from his younger days. He believes he is a rock star and has no memory of having a family.
When his family tries to convince them of who they are, he gets angry and agitated. To keep him around and keep him safe, they must start accepting that he is Eddie Maine now.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Not Wanting to Remember
Ned isn’t trying to remember who he is because he believes that he knows who he is. He doesn’t believe that anything is wrong with him. Olivia, his wife, really misses him and his children have been hurt by the fact that he doesn’t know them.
But they are all trying their best. Only Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), his mother, believes that this has gone on for far too long. She thinks her son needs to be committed.
Eddie is still writing music and has written a love song about a mysterious muse who is inspiring him to sing. He can’t finish the song yet because he doesn’t know who the muse is. Olivia is hoping that when he knows who it is, that he will remember who she is to him.
Ned’s ex-wife, Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) has come to town and as she and Ned are talking, he remembers a flash of their wedding day. It shakes him because it is a picture of him being someone else.
He doesn’t tell anyone, but heads straight to working on his song. Is he going to remember and fall in love with Lois again or is he going to continue to build something with Olivia? What do you think?
