‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers indicates that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is in for bigger trouble. He has been trying to figure out to deal with the investigation by the SEC into insider trading.
He tells his lawyer that he plans to take the fall for all of it to protect Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and is keeping that option open. But he thinks he has one more ace up his sleeve. It turns out that he really does not and is going to end up in even hotter water.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Plan to Get Out of Trouble
Drew, like many others in Port Charles, suspects that GH’s Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) is the one who made the tip to the SEC. Drew decides to have a conversation with Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot).
He has some dirt on Tracy connected to getting Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) back at Deception to do some spying on R&D. He plans to use this information to strong arm Tracy into getting Ned to withdraw his tip to the SEC.
The problem is, Ned didn’t make the tip to the SEC even though he threatened to do so. The one who made the anonymous tip to the SEC was Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). So, the dirt that Drew has on Tracy is not going to do him one lick of good since Ned was not the one who took action against Drew and Carly.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Plan Goes Horribly Wrong
As Drew is having this conversation with Tracy and is telling her that he has something on her, Ned comes running up. He knows exactly who gave the SEC the information and is excited to share that with Drew.
Nina is coming up in pursuit, but no one sees her. As he gets close to the pool, Ned trips, hits his head, and falls in the water unconscious.
Ned is not breathing and needs assistance. Drew dives in and pulls him out of the water. He starts CPR and he orders Tracy to call 9-1-1. The paramedics arrive and take over. It isn’t really clear if they have a pulse back yet, but they are preparing to take him to the hospital for care.
As the dust settles a bit, Tracy sees her opening. She attacks, saying that Drew attacked Ned. Drew is stunned by her accusations. They sent everyone out of the room for their private talk, so there is no one to support her claim that Drew did this or Drew’s claim that it was an accident.
The only person who witnessed it all was Nina, who definitely isn’t going to let anyone know she was there or why. This could be more bad news for Drew.
