‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveals that Dr. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) is furious that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) has been released from prison. She doesn’t understand why someone so incredibly dangerous is roaming free.
Apparently, the judge released Cyrus on compassionate grounds. Portia is determined to discover who would testify on Cyrus’ behalf. She wants whatever doctor who did so to have their license revoked.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Criminal Past
Cyrus Renault has done some terrible things. In the past he abducted and threatened Dr. Robinson and her daughter, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali). Because of his crimes, he was spending time in Pentonville. Even from prison, he continued to pull strings and order jobs on the outside.
Two people who did his bidding were Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) and Dr. Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth). Mason was the thug who did Cyrus’ dirty work. Austin was usually blackmailed and given little choice but to be complicit in the things that Cyrus wanted to do.
Cyrus was also in kahoots with the warden, Ellen Garten (Diahnna Nicole Baxter). She had aspirations and was using Cyrus’ help to get the things that she wanted. He possibly helped her secure her position at Pentonville and she was giving him favors as well.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Getting Free
Cyrus claims to have found religion and is now following God. He quotes Scriptures everywhere to everyone, but he hasn’t really changed his way of life. He still ordered Mason to kidnap Ava Jerome (Maura West) and ordered him to get the dirt on Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
In the prison library, Cyrus suffered a heart attack after being violently attacked by another inmate. Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) was there to help and saved his life.
Because of this heart attack episode, Cyrus was able to get Dr. Austin Gatlin-Holt to testify on his behalf. Dr. Gatlin-Holt begrudgingly let the judge know that Cyrus should be free since he is growing too old, and his health is not great.
Now that Cyrus is out, his health seems dramatically improved. He has searched for Dr. Robinson and Trina Robinson, saying that he wants to “make amends”. His apologies fell on deaf ears, however. They are furious that he is free.
Portia wants to know what doctor testified on his behalf and lied in the courtroom. She wants them to lose their medical license. As chief of staff, she can assuredly make this happen. What is going to happen when she gets close? Will Gatlin-Holt take off to save himself?
