‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers pose the question: Do you want to see Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) return to the canvas?
Strangely, no one has mentioned Nikolas lately, and given that his mother, Laura Collins (Genie Francis), and Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Breuning) are integral characters on the soap, it would make sense for us to see Nikolas at some point.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Nikolas Has a Young Son, Ace, Who Is Currently In Ireland With Kevin
Laura was caring for Nikolas’s son, Ace Cassadine (Karis and Kieran Barry), until Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) took the little guy to Ireland to keep him safe from Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota).
If Nikolas were to return, there would be endless storyline possibilities. Right now, Nikolas is having a hard time after he held Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) hostage at Wyndemere while she was pregnant.
Esme was the mother of his child because he slept with her, while Spencer Cassasdine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) was dating her.
He had plans to “dispose of her.” Plus, he went on the run as a fugitive to escape punishment from law enforcement.
However, sometimes, prison can change people for the better. Nikolas could return and make his mother and sister proud. Plus, he has yet to see Lulu since she came out of her four-year coma.
The last time we saw Nikolas, he was reeling over not being able to help Lulu when she needed a liver donation.
Ironically, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) ended up donating a portion of her liver to Lulu. Sadly, she was murdered shortly afterward by Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), who wanted to punish Sam for helping Lulu live.
It would be wonderful if Ace could return and Nikolas could finally be the father his son deserves. Plus, he could really throw a wrench in Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) potential romantic reunion with Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst).
Nikolas and Liz have a tumultuous romantic history. Despite their torrid affair, they remained in each other’s orbit and shared an unbreakable bond. It would also be fun to watch him share scenes with Ava Jerome (Maura West).
General Hospital Spoilers: Nikolas’s Return Could Lead to a Spencer Cassadine Resurgence
Plus, if Nikolas were to return, it might bring another major player back to Port Charles. Spencer supposedly drowned after an intense struggle with his ex-girlfriend, Esme, who was trying to kill his lady love, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).
Fans never really got over the loss of Spencer, nor did they ever lose hope that he might still be alive. Fans aren’t too keen on the Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) pairing and are clamoring to see a “Sprina” reunion.
With Laura and Lulu in Port Charles, there is always a chance that Nikolas could return. If and when that happens, Adam Huss wants to see his character on the road to redemption.
Huss recently spoke with Soaps.com about his character, Nikolas’s potential return to Port Charles, and the possibility of his redemption arc.
“That’s a really wonderful thing to play, the challenge of “How do I still fight for all I believed in but do it with this new, moral compass that will keep me out of jail and out of making the same mistakes?”
