There’s no doubt in ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers’ mind that Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) is irredeemable after she knocked Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) out on Wednesday, January 24’s episode.

It’s pretty clear that she was never meant to be redeemed, and that’s fine as some people can’t be. But for us, it feels like they may be missing some good story potential by going to DEFCON 1 with her when Kevin was trying to help her.

To be honest, Kevin and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) were the best people to help her achieve redemption. After all, Laura forgave Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) years after he raped her and between the two points he was considered a hero.

The show has a history of characters being redeemed, but Esme’s revenge porn crime was vile and there’s really no redemption from that in today’s world. Luke would be canceled or the show never would’ve tried to redeem him after he raped Laura.

But seeing more of a struggle within her toward Kevin and Laura could’ve been fun, but given the general dislike toward her from fans there was no coming back for her.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Evil to the core

It was really cool seeing the new Esme grow and try to move forward, but the evil in her was simply too much when she got her memories back and she went back to being her sociopathic self.

As soon as she got her memories back there was no doubt this was the old Esme as she said as much when she first visited Heather Webber (Ally Mills).

In a way it’s a shame since she was a good mother to Ace and made so many strides. Unfortunately, no one will believe her going forward no matter what happens.

She’s now fully in Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) territory and it’ll make the end of her story a fun one, if she’s going to do what we suspect.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Looking for revenge

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Spencer’s Abandonment Issues Ended “Sprina”

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers fully expect Esme to try to get her final revenge on Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) in France as she’ll also hope to use Spencer to draw out Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) to get Ace back.

This could be done through a hostage situation or something similar, which will give Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) more reason to hate Spencer for bringing Esme into their lives.

In the end, it won’t surprise us if Esme’s killed or goes missing, through we think her days in Port Charles are just about over.

Should they have explored Esme’s redemption more or is this the perfect way to handle it? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
