‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggest that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) received an offer from Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) that he can’t refuse.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Dex Made It Clear to Anna He Wants to Take Sonny Down
Dex asked Anna if she needed help taking Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) down to count him in. Unfortunately, if Dex ever testified against Sonny, the Godfather would kill him.
Anna devised a solution to nail Sonny to the wall while keeping Dex safe. Dex could become a cop. Even better, an undercover cop like Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) was when he first came to Port Charles.
He was eager to bust Sonny until it was revealed that Dante was Sonny’s son with Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero).
Now, Dex, who has no relation to Sonny (that we know of), has a beef with the mafia boss after Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) dumped him for his attempted murder of Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).
Dex could convince Sonny that he can be trusted. He could infiltrate Sonny’s organization from the inside and find incriminating evidence to send him to prison for good.
Sonny’s former employee could play off the fact that he helped save Dante’s life. If Dex and Joss had not come to resuscitate Dante, who knows what would have happened?
Dante may not have even made it to the hospital. Sonny is all about family, and since Dex played an active role in helping Dante, Sony may be inclined to allow him back into the circle of trust.
Maybe he could even give Dex an assignment that doesn’t involve killing someone. As long as Dex doesn’t have to cross that line, there is no reason for him not to be welcomed back with open arms.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Dex Could Even Work with Agent Cates
After all, Dex tried to protect Sonny after Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) hired him to do just that. Not to mention, Dex saved Sonny several times from getting hit with a bullet.
Instead of Dex aligning himself with the PCPD upfront, he would be better protected as an undercover cop. Sonny would only figure it out after it’s too late.
The Feds have been trying to catch up with Sonny for years but to no avail. He has skirted the law too many times to count.
Plus, with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) busy working for John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington), Jason is otherwise occupied.
Even though Sonny doesn’t know that Jason has been protecting him, Jason would be the first person to save Sonny if someone threatened to take him down. Despite all the people in Sonny’s corner, Dex wants to destroy Sonny.
Dex could even work with John to accomplish this task. John already has a reputation in this town for his “questionable ethics”. How he conducts himself as a federal agent is questionable at best.
However, with Anna, Dex, and John on the same side, the three of them may finally be able to eliminate Sonny’s reign in Port Charles. If Dex proves himself to be the man Joss can be proud of, he may even win her back.
