‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) are going to have an uphill battle in the coming weeks. Not only are they going to become parents again, but they will also become parents to a special needs child that will need a lot of care. If that weren’t enough, they are also dealing with a lot of drama in their lives, and especially at home. Will their marriage survive, at least to the end of this year? Here’s what you need to know.
Carly Corinthos will soon welcome another child to the Corinthos family. And while this will certainly be a joyous occasion, Sonny and Carly know that they have a lot of challenges ahead of them. For starters, it’s been decades since they last took care of a baby. And second, their child will be born with spina bifida. It’s when a child is born with a split spine. If the spinal cord doesn’t fully form a tube when the embryo is developing, the spine will not be completely closed.

Sonny and Carly know that once this baby is born, their lives are going to change forever. If that weren’t enough, they are also dealing with the Dev Cerci (Ashton Arab) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) drama. Sure, they’ve dealt with a lot of problems in the past, but they’ve never had pressure or stress like this before. Raising a teenager, bringing in someone who is basically a stranger to them and now welcoming a baby will take its toll on Sonny and Carly. Sooner or later something – or someone – will snap.
Seeing how both Sonny and Carly have gone through a lot in their lives already, we have a feeling that this is definitely going to test their relationship like they’ve never experienced before.
