‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers indicate that haters attacked Chad Duell’s (Michael Corinthos) partner, Luana Lucci, for being a “bad mom.”
Social media is not a kind place. The new mother, Luana, knows this all too well. Chad and Luana welcomed their new baby boy, Dawson, into the world in August. Luana has been on the receiving end of some terrible comments from Duell’s so-called fans.
Cyberbullying is serious and hurtful, and it doesn’t matter if the person is a celebrity, soap actress, or even a fan.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Trolls Made Nasty Comments
An excellent example of cyberbullying occurred when actor Billy Miller (Jason Morgan and Drew Cain) died, and fans went on social media to bash Kelly Monaco (Sam McCall) for not reacting to his death and making a statement right away.
It was awful to see them come down on the actress who had just lost one of her closest friends. Actresses are people, too, and it hurts when someone is unkind.
GH trolls on social media said that Luana leaves her son with Chad Duell too often and doesn’t spend enough time with her son. The trolls would make nasty comments like, “Poor Chad, it seems like he is the only one holding him and taking care of him (referring to their son, Dawson).
When cyberbullies made these offensive and belittling remarks to Luana, she decided to respond. She responded to these trolls and effectively shut them down.
“In response to the recent comments and DMs I’ve received from trolls, it’s disheartening to read messages suggesting that I birth my son and never spend time with him or that I’m constantly going out. These comments are nothing short of judgmental and unfair.”
Luana explains that it is not right to make a mother feel ashamed of wanting to spend time with her friends. New moms need time for themselves.
Social media does not represent the whole picture of someone’s life. Whatever someone shares on social media does not encompass her life with her family behind the scenes.
All of us need to practice kindness and empathy. Social media doesn’t need to be such a cruel and unsafe space.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Luana Sets the Record Straight
Luana continued,
“Let me set the record straight. I am the one who stays awake all night with him and spends every day with him while Daddy is at work. My little one is a handful and hates to sleep, so he’s in my arms 24/7. I am the one behind every cute video you see.”
The proud parents shared a couple of adorable photos of Dawson on Chad’s Instagram page. The first pic displayed Dawson wrapped in a soft, powdery blue blanket with a tiny dark blue bowtie on his neck.
The following picture showed Mommy Luana and Daddy Chad with Dawson snuggled between his two loving parents; all swaddled up and comfy.
There is another picture of him cuddling with a stuffed lamb, which is precious. The couple couldn’t resist posting a cute pic of their other baby, their adorable Saint Berdoodle pup named Bella.
