Zac Stacy is telling the police that the brutal attack on his ex-girlfriend was all “staged”, claiming that she set him up because she was “bitter” that he didn’t want to be with her. The former NFL running back’s conversation with police was captured on video.
In the footage, Stacy can be heard speaking with the Orlando Police Department officers for several minutes about what had occurred and what led up to the attack on November 13th, saying it was all staged. “It’s just a case of just bitterness, man. That’s why she did this. The whole assault thing, she staged it. She set me up.”

Stacy explains that he believes his ex-girlfriend and mother of his son was upset with him because he did not want to continue their relationship together. He insisted the woman was lying and staged the entire thing. That’s why there were two cameras capturing it and she knew he wasn’t in a good place mentally.
“She knew I was down, she knew I was going through anxiety and depression. She knew I was trying to close this gap that’s between me and my son and she’s just upset that she got caught she’s upset I’m not taking of him like she expected. And now she took it this far.”
Stacy is currently out on bond.
While there may be some truth to what he’s saying, and there are definitely two sides to this story, it absolutely doesn’t make his actions alright and he was the one who took it way too far.
