You know how movies are fake? Well, they still upset people one way or another. The newest allegation is how the horror icon Michael Myers is ‘homophobic’ as he killed gay people in the newest him ‘Halloween Kills’. Just take a look at some tweets.

HALLOWEEN KILLS WAS SO GOOD BUT WHY DID MICHAEL HAVE TO KILL THE ONE GAY COUPLE,,, MICHAEL MYERS IS HOMOPHOBIC CONFIRMED

If you haven’t seen the film yet, there’s a gay couple now living in Myer’s childhood home. Of course, he eventually returns, breaks in, and kills them both in typical Michael Myers’ fashion. While some appreciated the representation, others are taking it to have a deeper meaning. There are several tweets that condone the fictional serial killer and while some may have been a joke (user @xXd3adbit3Xx admits), many people are taking it to heart and truly believe that Michael Myers is a homophobe.

Meanwhile, people are praising Chucky (yes, the murderous doll) for his take on his ‘queer, gender-fluid’ kid. The young teenager asks if it bothers him to which he responds, “I’m not a monster, Jake.”

I think we’re beginning to take this whole acceptance thing a bit too far. If anything, Myers’ proved he’s an equal opportunity killer, and anyone can get it. Take the representation, I’m with you, but for god sakes, these are horror films. Do you expect everyone to live and have a happily ever after storyline?

‘Halloween Kills’ was released on October 14th and is available to watch on Peacock right now.

What do you think? Are you a fan of these horror icons and do you really think people believe Michael Myers is homophobic? Let us know in the comments below.
