Amanda Knox’s name has been attached to several monikers- Foxy Knoxy, Murderer, Framed and Innocent…and now Mother.

The 34 year old welcomed her first child with husband Christopher Robinson a few months ago, but the infamous woman did not talk publicly about the birth of Eureka Muse Robinson until this past weekend on the podcast she narrates with her husband.

Knox had noted that she initially kept the birth private in part because of the “paparazzi bounty on my head” that she still shoulders 14 years after the murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher when the girls shared a house in Perugia, Italy while they studied abroad.

At only 20 years old, Knox was wrongfully convicted and then exonerated for Kercher’s murder, however a stigma still follows the native of Washington state.

Since announcing the birth of Eureka on her podcast Knox has posted one and one photo only of Mom and baby to her Instagram, saying it is “the only picture of her I will ever share on social media.”

“Since my exoneration, I’ve struggled to reclaim my identity and protect the people I love from being exploited as tabloid content,” she explained the decision to keep Eureka away from the general public as best as possible. “It’s not easy, and I often feel like I’m trying to invent good choices out of bad whole cloth.”

“I know that I cannot 100% protect my daughter from the kind of treatment I’ve suffered, but I’m doing the best I can. Which is why this will be the only picture of her I will ever share on social media,” she continued in the caption. “She deserves the privacy and autonomy that I was denied.”

She also thanked those for the well-wishes extended to the family of three.

Back in 2016, Netflix released a documentary simply titled Amanda Knox where Knox spoke out about being twice wrongfully convicted and eventually acquitted of the crime. She has been living a somewhat anonymous life as a journalist and podcaster in Seattle since.
