Elton John came to the aid of Kevin Spacey during his sexual assault trial, providing crucial testimony that challenged one of the accuser’s claims. Elton, appearing remotely from Monaco, refuted the accuser’s allegation that Spacey had groped him while en route to Elton’s annual White Tie and Tiara Ball.
The accuser stated that the incident occurred in either 2004 or 2005, but Elton testified that Spacey had only attended one party, which took place in 2001. Elton further confirmed that Spacey had spent the night at his residence after the said event.
Elton’s husband, David Furnish, supported this testimony and presented photographic evidence from the parties that corroborated their statements. Spacey, who faces 12 sexual assault charges, has pleaded not guilty, with a potential life sentence if convicted.

Why Elton John would defend Spacey and his actions is beyond us, and whether it will have any factor on the outcome is to be seen.
John has often come to the defense of his friends, though, as he came to the defense of his now good friend Eminem in the early 2000s when the rapper was being accused of being a homophobe because of some of his lyrics.
This, however, seems to be much different, and claiming that Spacey only ever attended one party in 2001 is not a good start. Spacey will probably not be getting out of this as there are too many people coming forward and there is a lot at stake during this trial.
Namely, Spacey’s life. However, I don’t think that simply saying he wasn’t at a party a decade ago is going to cut it.
