Dancing With the Stars star JoJo Siwa and her girlfriend Kylie Prew have an announcement to make: Love is dead.
Well, their love anyway, but if those two crazy kids couldn’t make it work, what hope do us mere mortals without a lifetime supply of colorful bows have?
It has been less than a year since JoJo and Kylie met on a Christmas cruise and, soon after, began dating. However, such was their connection that JoJo felt brave enough to come out as a proud member of the LGBTQ community.

JoJo has not been shy about singing Kylie’s praises, from Instagramming, “She seriously is the most loving, supportive, happiest, protective and just the most beautiful perfect person in the world. And I get to call her mine!” to gushing to Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show about “the most amazing, wonderful, perfect, most beautiful girlfriend in the whole world.”
And now they’re done. Two weeks done, actually.
Though some of the Dancing With the Stars cast–where 18 year old JoJo is currently competing–were aware of the split, it has been hidden from the general public, with only some cryptic Instagram posts from JoJo providing hints that there was trouble in paradise.
“This has been a WEEK,” the Dance Moms alum wrote earlier this month. “My brain has never been so overwhelmed/overloaded with not only work but also personal life.” A stand out section of the lengthy post read, “Even though this week has been one of the hardest in my life for so many different reasons, it’s also been one of the best. I’m thankful for every time I smiled this week and every time I smiled in the last 18 years❤️.”
JoJo also spoke with US Weekly after showing emotion when filming Disney Villain week on Dancing With the Stars, saying, “What goes on in my personal life every day is something. However, this week was very, very extreme and something that I had never gone through and something that I’ve never felt before. And it’s tough and it’s tricky, but luckily I have really good people in my life. And I’m really lucky that every day this week I got to spend three hours with my best friend in rehearsals and we got to dance.”
Now that it has been confirmed that the tough, tricky occurrence was a break up, all eyes are on JoJo’s dance partner, 27 year old So You Think You Can Dance alum…and JoJo’s best friend, apparently…Jenna Johnson.
A few weeks ago, Kylie was JoJo’s “best friend”, however, before people begin to read anything into it, an insider spoke to US Weekly and assured that Jenna had nothing to do with the split and is like a big sister to JoJo.
Nothing romantic is going on between the ballroom partners who received a perfect score last week during Grease week.
