‘Doubling Down with the Derrico’ Spoilers finds that The Derrico’s were getting all excited about possibly adding a new member of their family, a new baby, because Karen Derrico was showing as pregnant, so they went to the doctor to get an ultrasound, all excited to see what was in there.

While they found the amniotic sac inside her uterus, there was nothing inside of it. There was no viable baby in there. This has happened on the heels of Karen’s Grandmother, Memah, passing, a death that she couldn’t get home for because of COVID restrictions. Even though she had been trying for months previously to get home so she could see Memah one last time.

At first, the nurse practicioner said that it was a possible miscarry, but when the ultrasound and all the labs were forwarded along to the doctor, Karen got a call saying that they would not qualify it as a miscarriage just yet. Now, the doctor is just saying that Karen probably got her ultrasound done too early, and that they can’t really tell what’s going on.

She is scheduled for another ultrasound in the coming week and that should let them know what is going on. Wow, way to make someone panic and grieve all at the same time. Karen doesn’t know what to think.

Deon said that while he is hopeful about the pregnancy, but he’s trying to be realistic about it because he doesn’t want to get his hopes up about something that isn’t even viable, and that’s understandable. It hurts to lose a child, especially when that child is wanted, it’s a part of you and the Derrico’s have already lost a child, one of the triplins, a son named Carter, a few years ago.

They certainly don’t want to go through that again, even if it happens early in the pregnancy, also, miscarriages are traumatic. Afterward, you just aren’t the same person that you were before, and that’s understandable too. This is a lot for Karen to take in such a small period of time, let’s hope that the outcome is good for the family – even if it doesn’t result in a new member of the family. Stay tuned!!!
