If you were looking forward to seeing Doja Cat at the iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball tour you will be sorely disappointed because the songstress has had to withdraw from both performances due to getting diagnosed with COVID-19 for the second time this year.

It wasn’t just her though it was members of her team as well, so she isn’t the only one recovering at home. According to Doja Cat both she and the exposed members of her team are all quarantining and taking proper precautions not to spread the virus any further.

It was also revealed that Lil’ Nas X and Coldplay were also going to have to withdraw from the London tour because of COVID-19 as well.

“Wish I could be there.” she said. But we respect her decision to do things by the book and quarantine rather than expose more of her team members and potentially her fans to the deadly virus. In fact that is probably the most responsible decision she could make.

This could also come at a good time for Doja Cat, considering not too long ago she said she was feeling overworked and felt she had to keep saying yes to engagements even though she didn’t really feel like working, but from the way it sounds this tour was actually something that she really wanted to do.

We hope that she recovers soon. Until then it seems that Doja Cat has a tiktok account and streamed a live earlier – maybe she will do one of those instead? Hey if Lizzo can do it.

In the wake of Doja Cat having to pull out, both Justin Beiber and Ed Sheeran have lengthened their sets, and Rapper ArDee and rocker Tom Grennan joined the show as well. One wonders though, if any other of the main acts are going to have to pull out as well and if so will the Jingle Ball end up being streamed somewhere instead of being a live performance?

It might behoove the concert organizers to think about that especially during the times of a pandemic. Besides, pay-per-view exists for a reason, right? Stay tuned!!!
