Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell hasn’t had the greatest season, though something about him resonates with fans, and even viewers who are fans of the Lions are rooting for him. His interviews have been passionate and he feels like a man of the people with fake barriers or walls around him.

He’s been in tears several times while describing his team, and how much heart they’ve been putting into their games, regardless of their record. While there was some talk that the Lions could go the entire season without a win, that was put to rest yesterday when the Detroit Lions defeated the Minnesota Vikings 29-27 in the last 4 seconds of the game.

Dan Campbell has an undeniable passion and spirit. He has all the workings to be a great head coach with a few more years of experience and he definitely has the respect and admiration from his team. Campbell keeps on being a good man, and this was demonstrated as he gave the game ball in tribute to the families and people affected by the Oxford shooting.

Detroit is just a short 50-minute drive from Oxford, and Campbell said,

“I just want us to not forget these names, Madisyn Baldwin, Hana St. Juliana, Tate Myre, Justin Shilling,Phoebe Arthur, John Asciutto, Riley Franz, Elijah Mueller, Kylie Ossege, Aiden Watson, Molly Darnell who’s a teacher. Those names will never be forgotten, and they’re in our hearts and our prayers…“

Everyone become a Lions fan for a moment yesterday, and Campbell continues to be a fan favorite. Congratulations on the win, coach.
