Super model, Naomi Campbell has shocked the world by announcing she has become a first time mother at age 50. Casually dropping a sweet photo of herself cradling her new baby’s feet, the British beauty set Instagram on fire on Tuesday.
“A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother,” she captioned the post. “So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel. There is no greater love.”

The cute pic was snapped by the model’s mother, Valerie who shard the same image on her own social media.
The comments section on Campbell’s post was immediately filled with well wishes from Campbell’s famous friends, congratulating the first time mother and many showing their surprise.
“❤️❤️❤️ oh my goodness congrats lady! What a blessing!!!” actress Zoe Saldana wrote while designer Marc Jacobs seemed to know the announcement was coming, saying, “Oh my God!!!!! Today is the day?? How absolutely incredible. How lucky she is and how lucky you are! What a wonderful Mother you will be. Blessings all around. ❤️❤️❤️”
Campbell has spoken about wanting children for a long time, being quoted in 2017 as saying she has thought about motherhood a lot but was in no rush to make the big change in her life happen.
“I think about having children all the time,” she said to Evening Standard magazine at the time. “But now with the way science is I think I can do it when I want.”
A couple of years later, she was asked about parenthood again and said rather evasively, “I’ll see what the universe brings me.”
“It seems the universe has delivered and Campbell sounds deliriously happy that it has.
