It looks like ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers better prepare for another twist in the redemption of Xander Cook (Paul Telfer), and this one may not be what it seems.

On Friday, January 26’s episode Xander received a phone call where someone with a voice distortion device wanting him to do a job.

Of course, this came directly after he promised Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) that he’s on the straight and narrow and working for a better future.

It’s pretty typical since anytime someone in Salem makes a declaration, Salem has to have someone hold their beer.

The last time he was approached in a similar way it was by Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) and it involved kidnapping Susan Banks (Stacey Haiduk) to make some money.

But ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers suspect this isn’t anything so sinister.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – Sleight of hand

Since the caller told him he wants him to eliminate someone, our first thought was it was Ava or Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barish) calling to have him go back to his old ways and remove Clyde Weston (James Read) from the equation.

The thing is, there’s no way Xander will kill anyone and Ava knows that and Stefan may as well. So who does that leave?

In our opinion, Stefan but with a twist.

The show is great at tweaking what was said from one episode to another like the old Saturday matinees, and it won’t be hard for them to change what was said on the phone to better fit the storyline.

Or they could follow through on it and this is where we think things could get entertaining.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – Taking out Everett

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Is Nick Fallon Back by Possessing Everett?

We have a feeling the call was from Stefan and he’ll want Xander to eliminate Everett Lynch (Blake Berris) from the story or writing staff.

Since Xander is 50% owner of the paper, he would have some sway but it’s something he won’t do. If anything, he was adamant that they cover the story while Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) tried to kill it.

Stefan may be thinking that with added pressure from Xander Chad will follow through and kill the story or fire Everett to make to easier to do so.

If this is the way the writers are going, it’s going to be a severe miscalculation on Stefan’s part, and it’ll blow up in his face big time if Xander figures out it was him.

Who do you think called Xander? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
