‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers have been waiting for the other shoe to drop to drop with Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall).
It looks like our wait is almost over and we expect some more shenanigans once Marlena goes into surgery.
Any surgery comes with risk, but a different kind of risk when it comes to soap opera.
With Doctor Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) around, anything is possible. Including combining two storylines fans didn’t like.
The show’s writers are great at copying Ron Carlivati’s style, but ideas, well, we’ve been waiting.
There’s no doubt what’s coming out now is the new writers, and they have a chance to do something really cool.
They’ve teased the possible resurrection of Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo), but we’re worried.
For one, you can’t recast the character. That’s a non-starter. So what then?
Why, rehashing old ideas!
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Repossession or microchip?
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers loved the last possession storyline. We know we were in the minority on that, but we loved how others played their part.
Doug Williams (Bill Hayes), Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) were awesome!
While we doubt this will be the devil possessing her, the fact there’s a darkness in her and her dreams it’ll be similar.
More likely, she sensing Stefano’s return, which will also mean he’ll be back in a slightly different way.
We don’t think they’re going to repeat the microchip storyline from a few years ago. Both were unpopular with fans in general, so we think they’ll do a hybrid.
What better way to craft a new fun storyline than by combining two fans dislike? We hope this won’t be as rocky as we expect it to be.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: A DNA transplant?
We had different ideas on who is in the cryotube Doctor Rolf has. We still think Dimitri Von Leuschner (Peter Porte) or Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barish) are possibilities.
They make the most sense since they’ve been mentioned pretty regularly lately.
But they’ve also been hinting that it’s Stefano. After all, his body was never recovered.
Which confuses us about his missing casket in the mausoleum. Without Stefano in it it’d be useless, but maybe they found him?
Rolf was able to put Stefano’s essence on a microchip before, so why not use his DNA now?
There have been plenty of sci-fi stories of DNA overwriting another. Plus, there are reports that people sometimes have a subtle mental shift following a transplant.
Anything is possible, and we have no doubt Rolf can put Stefano’s DNA in the pacemaker.
When it’s placed in Marlena, Stefano will be loose and could take over, kinda like a possession.
It’s wacky and combines two recent storylines fans didn’t like, but the way it’s going, rehashing ideas makes sense.
