‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers weren’t totally sold on Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) when he first returned, but he’s undergone some serious character growth and he’s become one of our favorites.
In our mind, he and Chanel DuPree (Raven Bowens) are one of the best couples. They light up the screen and have some of the best interactions and that’s helped both of them grow and become what they are.
Of course, like any couple in a soap opera, they’ve had their ups and downs. Granted, their downs came curtesy of a sibling rivalry and then the devil possession storyline forcing them to get divorced, but they found their way back to each other.
So it’s only natural that they’re facing a new challenge, and so far Johnny isn’t aware of it while Chanel is. This could prove interesting down the line.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Making her move
Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) is a typical teenager with a crush, meaning she’s not good at hiding her feelings or agenda and she’s fixated on someone she can’t have in her step brother Johnny.
Given the incestuous nature of romances in soaps, ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers are wondering what kept them?
Her plan is to break Johnny and Chanel up, and she used manipulation tactics she probably picked up from Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) with the desire to win her over Tate Black (Jamie Martin Mann).
Normally, we’d say any plan she comes up with won’t work, but Johnny’s proven himself to be susceptible to following his heart instead of his head, and this is where things will get interesting.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: His heart’s too big
Chanel may love Johnny’s big heart, but that’s only because it helped sabotage his and Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace)’s relationship when he helped Chanel, but will she feel the same when it starts working against her like it did for Thanksgiving?
What will make this worse is since Chanel can see what Holly’s doing, she’s going to quickly lose patience with Johnny for defending Holly and saying there’s nothing there and she’s too young.
This will be a fun series of exchanges as Chanel will try to get him to see that even though he’s not interested in Holly, that doesn’t mean Holly isn’t interested.
We think Johnny will eventually wake up and see what Chanel is talking about, but thanks to his big heart it could be too late to salvage his second go around with Chanel.
