‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Brady Should Have Ordered A Paternity Test From The Start
Since the bombshell that Tate Black’s (Leo Howard) DNA isn’t a match for Tesoro was revealed, it’s only a matter of time before the whole truth comes out.
Last week, Brady received shocking news from Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) that Tesoro doesn’t belong to Tate.
Brady should be suspicious and concerned enough now to arrange for another test to compare Sophia’s DNA with Tesoro’s.
We think that Brady should have been smart enough to order a paternity test in the first place. It’s a major detail that should have been investigated the minute Sophia told Tate she was pregnant.
Tate works with Sophia at the Brady Pub, and Brady could ask him to perhaps procure a DNA sample without her knowledge.
He could obtain the sample from a glass of water she’s been sipping from or maybe from a hairbrush. Brady had always questioned the validity of Sophia’s story.
Sophia had claimed that she gave birth in Chicago and that she immediately allowed the adoptive parents to take their newborn daughter. The ultrasound records alone would be enough to bust Sophia’s bogus story.
Sarah Horton Kiriakis (Linsey Godfrey) was Sophia’s doctor throughout her pregnancy. She knows that Sophia lied about the gender of her child.
The good doctor also knows that Sophia left her baby at the firehouse. Spoilers indicate that this week, Sarah finally confronts Sophia and warns her that the truth always comes out.

We can imagine that if another DNA test is performed, Brady may decide to involve Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and possibly even Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering).
Steve or Rafe may suggest that they verify whether the baby has ties to either Tate or Sophia before the baby is officially adopted, and then drop the subject once and for all. It could afford Brady some peace of mind.
Additionally, Rafe is helping to care for Tesoro along with Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) and Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon). Rafe may also want to help them uncover the truth.
Sophia enlisted Salem’s most morally challenged lawyer, Melinda Trask (Tina Huang), to achieve the ultimate cover-up. If anyone knows how to pull off a successful baby switch scam, it’s Melinda Trask.
For months, there has been considerable speculation about the truth regarding Sophia’s baby daddy. Fans have long suspected that Sophia was lying and that Aaron Greene (Louis Tomeo) was the father.
Sophia was likely using her pregnancy as a way to hold onto Tate, knowing he had always been in love with Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis). It’s a bit peculiar since Sophia had been planning to have an abortion.
However, Sophia may have thought that a baby, whether alive or deceased, would have bonded her and Tate permanently, and they could share their loss and grief that only the two of them could understand.
Regardless, Sarah is definitely onto Sophia. While Sarah is bound by HIPAA, she’s close with Tate and Brady and could easily drop clues that will lead them to the truth. We’re willing to bet money that Sophia’s lies are about to be exposed sooner rather than later.
