Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal the missing year in Salem’s been a rough one, but it’s not over yet. There’s a lot more drama in Salem, especially for Sarah Horton (Lindsey Godfrey) and Xander Cook (Paul Telfer). The town is reeling from the news of baby Mickey’s kidnapping. While the Salem PD is working the case, several others are making moves behind the scenes. Here’s what you need to know.
Days of Our Lives spoilers: The mastermind
We know by now that Mickey’s kidnapping is Clyde Weston’s (James Read) handiwork. After learning Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) believes Xander is the real killer, he decided to help his son. Someone on the outside took “Xander’s” baby, and she’s being held in exchange for a confession. While Ben has tried to stop it, Clyde’s not budging. If there’s one good thing in this mess, it’s made Will Horton (Chandler Massey) believe in Ben’s innocence. But are they barking up the wrong tree with Xander?
Days of Our Lives spoilers: Obvious suspect
It makes sense they’d think Xander is the culprit. After all, Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) was never a fan. That’s why Xander Cook’s climb to the top of Titian is so surprising. Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) overheard a conversation that just cemented their belief Xander did the dirty deed. But did he really?

Days of Our Lives spoilers: Confession is bad for appeals
In the Friday, November 22nd episode, Clyde’s plan worked. Xander is devastated by Mickey’s disappearance and willing to do anything to get her back. In a touching scene with Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker), he laid out all the reasons he is Mickey’s father, regardless of whether he’s biologically the daddy or not. So, when texts came demanding a confession of what he did, Xander complied. He wrote up a letter and delivered it straight to “Hope Brady” (Kristian Alfonso). But we’re thinking Xander Cook’s sin is something else entirely. We won’t be a bit surprised if Xander’s letter mentions nothing about Jordan Ridgeway (Chrishell Hartley). Of course, it’s hard to think of what they actually did at this point, but some other sin makes far more sense.
Days of Our Lives spoilers: Changed man
One reason is, Xander refused to go through with killing Ben when Victor ordered him to. It seems weird that he would agree to the same crime, even if it is a different victim of questionable virtue. He’s far too committed to proving himself to Sarah, as well. Could he really do something Sarah would find unforgivable, when there is always the chance of exposure? We’ll have to wait and see how things play out to know for sure. Stay tuned to see if Xander is really innoncent, or has another secret in store…
