That DiMera tech expert in particular knows who he is. He also had a secret to hide. In a nod to real life events, it turns out this expert was a bad boy. He bribed his son’s way into college, and Stefano knows it. He points out all the horrible things that can happen if that bribery became public. In exchange for keeping quiet, he wants a favor. The expert is to make sure the real footage never sees the light of day. But, without another scapegoat, Abigail Deveraux (Kate Mansi) will keep digging. So, what’s a man with lots to hide to do?

He finds a fall guy, of course. In this case, he goes for the obvious and easy choice: Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay). He already had motive, as everyone knows Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves) had that remouveable drive with all his secrets. One that is conveniently missing after the accident.
