‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers find that as closing arguments in a real murder case pre-empted daytime television today, the regularly scheduled episode of DOOL revealed what we’ve all been waiting for since February.
We (and I mean viewers in Canada) now know who killed Charlie Dale.
***SPOILERS AHEAD IF YOU DID NOT SEE MONDAY, APRIL 19’S EPISODE***
So, Belle Black (Martha Madison) ‘dunnit’, right? Wrong! No matter that both D.A. Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) and Belle’s own father, John Black (Drake Hogestyn) believe it so, it turns out Belle is being set up.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Soaps Pre-empted as Charlie Dale’s (Mike Manning) Killer is Revealed
John grew very agitated while being hypnotized by wife, Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). He can finally recall what happened on the night Charlie bit the dust and now knows why he can remember those gun shots- because he saw his very own daughter blow the dastardly young man away…or did he?
John admits to his beloved “Doc” post hypnosis that he saw the back of Belle only, in her now infamous red coat as she fired the kill shot. Yet he’s still convinced his kid is a cold blooded killer.
Meanwhile, Rafe Hernandex (Galen Gering) is asking Belle why her missing coat button happened to be lying on the floor of Charlie’s apartment.
While Belle is adamant she was never in Charlies apartment and has no theory as to why the button was there, Melinda Trask breezes in and demands Rafe arrest Belle with absolutely zero evidence (well, besides the button).
Hmm, now who do we know who likes to impersonate Belle, usually in a wedding dress, and first noticed the coat button was missing?
You goy it- as the episode comes to a close, Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) thinks back to wearing Belle’s jacket, hood pulled up, and shooting Charlie in the chest.
Quite the feat for someone who was comatose, we know!
We can only imagine Jan has been faking her coma- yet another reason why University Hospital needs to be shut down post haste- and managed to garner all sorts of Charlie info “while she was sleeping.”
Not only would Jan be upset as she counted Charlie’s ex, Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) her friend, she also found a perfect opportunity to set Belle up and have her locked away, leaving Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) free for Jan to move in.
I can only guess the doctor in charge of Jan’s case was Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and no one thought to replace her after she was stuffed in a trunk by Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) and disappeared.
Seriously, is Sarah okay? Can she breathe? How is University Hospital and its doctors still licensed to practice medicine?
Now THAT is the real mystery!
