‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers have found that Precious Way will soon be leaving DOOL screens as the character of Chanel Dupree has been recast.
Chanel appeared in Salem in March, causing havoc as most new characters do. The daughter of Paulina Price (Jackee Harry), not only is Chanel adding to the much needed diversity on the screen, the character is also bisexual, a first for the soap.

After hustling Claire Brady (Isabel Durant), trying to extort Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) by marrying him, and then her mom as she tried to get her to pay Xander off for a quicky divorce, Chanel then threw a spanner in the works when it came to Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Tripp Dalton’s (Lucas Adams) budding romance by kissing Allie before ogling her new cousin in law, Eli Grant (Lamon Archey), angering her cousin, Lani Price (Sal Stowers)!
Phew, that’s a lot of drama in a little less than three months.
Currently Chanel is set be embroiled in yet another scandal, this time of her lying mother’s doing, but fans of a good, juicy storyline needn’t worry, this drama inducing powerhouse isn’t going anywhere! Come July 6, she’ll just look a little different as Raven Bowens takes over the role.
Bowens is no stranger to acting, though this will be her first daytime credit. Fans of the CBS drama, All Rise may recognize Bowens from an episode, though she is best known for playing Savannah Peters in Prime’s Mr. Student Body President—a little known but highly acclaimed teen comedy.
Bowens has been on set since April 1 when Way departed after being cast alongside rapper MC Lyte in a new sitcom- Partners in Rhyme.
