It’s easy to overuse a trope to death when it’s popular or fun for the writers and cast, but at some point ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers have to wonder if Chanel DuPree (Raven Bowens) will ever get a break.
It seems that no matter what she does, where she goes, or who she dates there’s always someone waiting in the wings to swoop in to steal someone away or create a love triangle.
We were really hope to avoid a third one for her when she was put on the spot by Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) to pick him or Talia Hunter (Aketra Sevillian).
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Please Give Chanel a Break Instead of Another Love Triangle
Thankfully, the writers weren’t going to put us through that again. Instead, we got to wait a couple of weeks for one to be teased when Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) arrived at the DiMera mansion and crashed Johnny and Chanel’s date.
While last time it was Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) that got left in the cold when Johnny had to run off to help Chanel, it looks like it’s going to be Chanel’s turn now.
Like before, Johnny won’t mean anything by it as he’ll just want to be nice to Holly and not kick her out on the street. Especially when they’re just going to watch a movie.
Sure, there was going to be more planned afterwards no doubt, but “Days of Our Lives” Spoilers are betting they’ll have to put a pin in that.
The worst part is Chanel doesn’t deserve this.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Turned it around
Chanel is far different than the spoiled socialite turned con artist when she first arrived in Salem and she’s been fun to watch grow.
Of course, she’s also had some of the most traumatic moments the last couple of years and that’s a testament to the actress’ ability to really dig deep and bring out the emotions from all of us.
But now? Come on, man, the writers really give the girl a break and let her unwind and relax for a while. Seriously.
And since this is Salem and a soap opera we expect some interesting times ahead for her.
Holly’s already shown to be a little edgier than Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) would approve of at her age, and that’s going to lead to some good interactions.
We expect a full blown teenager style fixation and tactics to win the man of her dreams from Chanel, and Chanel’s really going to start wondering what she did to deserve all of this again.
Will Chanel and Johnny head Holly off at the pass, or will Johnny be too gentle until it’s too late? Let us know in the comments below and check back with “Days of Our Lives” Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
