‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Patrika Darbo, who plays Nancy Wesley, and soap newcomer AlexAnn Hopkins, who will play Joy Wesley, will return to Salem.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Joy Was Her Sister, Chloe’s Bone Marrow Donor
Nancy is Chloe Lane’s (Nadia Bjorlin) mother, and Joy is Chloe’s little sister. Nancy and Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas) conceived her to be a bone marrow donor to Chloe when she had leukemia.
Thankfully, Joy saved her sister’s life. Hopkins will play Joy as an adult. Joy was born to Craig and Nancy in 2003. The last time we saw Joy was in 2005, when she was just two years old. Aisling Acuna previously played the little girl.
Joy was a beloved member of the Wesley clan. Nancy had given her big sister, Chloe, up for adoption; in 1999, Chloe was a teenager, and Nancy brought her home to live with her and Craig.
Chloe struggled in high school and had many ups and downs. She was nicknamed “Ghoul Girl” because she wore dark clothes and glasses.
After Chloe got a makeover, she was revealed to be a great beauty. Chloe left town in 2023, but it would be fun to have her return to Salem and reunite with her mother and sister.
There is speculation about where Joy’s story will go now that she’s all grown up. Spoilers suggest that she may be the spoiler in Johnny DiMera‘s marriage to Chanel DiMera (Raven Bowens).
Spoilers hint that trouble is coming for Johnny and Chanel. The soap-within-a-soap, Body and Soul, is driving a significant wedge between them.
Johnny’s been insanely jealous of Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) and his steamy scenes with Chanel. Earlier this week, he walked into a hospital room on the show’s set and saw who he thought was “Faith” and “Arrow” making out on a hospital bed.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Nancy Was Shocked To Discover Her Husband Was Gay
Darbo first created the role of Nancy in 1998, and she remained on the canvas until 2005. Nancy left for eight years and briefly returned in 2013. She returned from 2016 to 2017 and then in 2019.
In 2022, Nancy returned and was hit with a huge shock. After 30 years of marriage, her husband, Craig, came out as gay, and they got a divorce.
The break-up was devastating to Nancy since the two were high school sweethearts. It all worked out for the best because Nancy started a romance with Craig’s former competition for Chief of Staff at the hospital, Mike Horton (Roark Critchlow).
Craig started dating everyone’s favorite troublemaker, Leo Stark (Kevin Rikaart). He discovered Leo was only with him for his money. Craig promptly ditched Leo and left town in 2022.
The last time Darbo was asked to return to Days, she was interviewed by Soap Opera Digest,
“As a performer, you’re always grateful that they still want you, that your fans still love you. I can’t say enough about the fact that daytime embraced me in 1998 and has kept its arms around me all the time. It’s very heartwarming,”
