‘Days of our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers find that Marci Miller and her husband, Ryan Matteson have welcomed their first child into the world…and head DOOL writer Ron Carlivati couldn’t have written the dramatic birth better himself.
Willett James Matteson was born on March 13 in the midst of a white-out blizzard in Denver! Not only were the conditions a little (lot) scary as the mom-to-be made her way to hospital, it seems the bundle of joy also interrupted her parents’ fun as they were in the middle of a blackjack game at a mountain casino when Marci felt her first contractions.

Marci and Ryan have announced the birth of ‘Willie’ on their Instagram accounts, which were, of course, flooded with well wishes from Marci’s Days co-stars and fans…some of whom were very surprised, unaware that Marci was even pregnant.
It seems Marci took very different route from Bold and the Beautiful’s Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester) who gave birth last month. Jacqueline was very active on social media, showing off her bump and putting fans on a baby-watch countdown.
Jacqueline’s character, Steffy was also pregnant whereas Days did not incorporate Marci’s pregnancy into the show. Her character of Abigail is currently being seen on screens in oversized coats etc. as writers use all the usual tricks to conceal her growing belly.
With the show approximately 3 months ahead with its filming/airing, it seems they might have to send Abigail to stay with her mother Jennifer Horton (Cady McClain or Melissa Reeves…depending on who is coming back) in Boston for a while so Marci can enjoy her maternity leave.
According to new dad, Ryan, the break is much needed.
“Mom and Dad are ecstatic,” Ryan wrote in the comment on his Instagram announcement of his daughter’s arrival. “And tired.”
