‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers indicate that star Leann Hunley (Anna DiMera) is happy to be back where she belongs and that’s right at home in Salem! The stunning and talented actress is opening up about her return to Days of Our Lives and the all-important phone call she got from producers asking her if she could come back. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, Leann recalls that the phone call came sometime during late 2018. She said, “It was toward the end of the year and I was heading home to Washington state for Christmas in a week or so. It was something to look forward to after the holiday, knowing when I got back to Los Angeles that I would have a little bit of story to go to.”

Leann also says that when she found out about the story line she would be working on, she got very excited! She knew that this was a story that fans would definitely tune in to. Plus, she also got to work with a very special co-star again.
Leann adds, “It was also really great news that I was going to be working with Thaoo Penghlis (Tony DiMera) again. That’s a story that I have missed. I’ve come back a few times, but it’s always been with Andre. So this has been good. It’s been a lot of fun, actually.”

To make this even more special, Leann adds that she and Thaoo have remained in contact throughout the years and that they have a very special friendship. She calls the actor “a marvelous cook, a good friend and a good ear. If I have a problem, I can call him. He’s a terrific listening and so interesting. I’m grateful for his friendship.”
