Okay, this is one that’s taking ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers a minute to get our heads wrapped around. We expected Konstantin Meleounis (John Kapelos) to pull something, but his plot to blackmail Maggie Horton (Suzanne Rogers).
At least, it looks like blackmail is his intent with Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) being drafted to take Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey)’s baby.
At the least, this feels like the actual plan is harebrained at best, so maybe he’s planning on ratting out Theresa or stopping her to appear the hero?
That makes more sense than having her take baby Victoria, and it would endear him to Sarah and get her suspicions off of him.
But could it backfire?
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Hero or zero?
Assuming Konstantin’s plan is to thwart the kidnapping and have Theresa run off, he would then inform Maggie about the attempt unless she walks in to see Theresa running away.
Of course, this would terrify her that anyone would try this, and that’s when Konstantin will try to plant the idea that Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) was behind it.
Since he’s the only logical choice, it’d make sense it was him except Maggie knows he wouldn’t do something like that, especially while he’s at court fighting for custody.
But Konstantin will try to work his magic and she may wonder about it.
Now when Sarah finds out, she’ll buy into it completely because it fits what she wants to think of Xander. Just like she never seems to tell Maggie that he’s been trying to end things amicably, but she flies off the handle when previously decided events happen and skewer things.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Makes Sarah look desperate
When Sarah confronts Xander about it, he’ll deny it but she won’t believe him and ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers think it’ll make it look like she tried to set him up.
This would weigh heavily in Xander’s favor if Konstantin’s plan works and he and Sarah fall for it, but we don’t think that’ll happen.
Like with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), Xander’s smarter than many take him for and he’ll quickly figure out something’s wrong, but whether Sarah will believe him or not is the question.
She’ll want to, but she’s spent so much energy building him up as this ultimate evil that it’ll be hard for her to move on from that.
She may have to witness him do something extraordinary like drop the suit or more to wake her up, but by then Konstantin may cause enough damage he’ll get what he wants.
