Okay, ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers can’t help but wonder what it is about Salem University Hospital, and Salem in general, that screams incompetent security measures?
Seriously, every time we turn around there’s no security cameras, people get out of handcuffs and put others in, important people are taken out without anyone batting and eye and on and on it goes.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Kayla Does it Again!
Sure, it’s a plot device that’s become a running joke as Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) told Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) when he tried to get her to sign the paperwork so he and Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) could take Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte) to the Salem police department.
Rafe tried to hurry things along, but of course Malpractice Kayla, who runs the hospital as a existing HIPPA violation, actually tried to follow procedures.
Of course, not making sure Dimitri’s physician had the papers signed before he left since would’ve been nice, but again, things don’t seem to run very smoothly under her direction.
“Days of Our Lives” Spoilers could point out if the doctor cleared Dimitri to leave he probably could or would have signed the papers for his transfer before leaving, but that’s just us.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Bungled it again
As it turned out, Kayla’s insistence on following procedure lately after ignoring it for years did her in as by the time she read over Dimitri’s chart and signed him out, Leo Stark (Greg Rikkart) was able to pick his handcuff.
So, when Kayla went in to give him a final check up without Rafe and Jada with (we’re trying to figure this out given the hospital’s history as well), bad things were bound to happen and they did.
Dimitri was free and quickly handcuffed Kayla to the bed as he made his escape in a wheel chair with Leo dressed as a nurse wheeling him out.
And of course, they just missed Rafe and Jada when they burst into the room as Kayla was calling for help.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Is Kayla’s job in jeopardy?
Given yet another prisoner getting away on top of Abe Carver (James Reynolds) being taken out of the hospital a few months back and things under Kayla aren’t looking good.
We remember how she was fired by order of the board, and then reinstated without the board’s official approval, so maybe her paying attention to procedures meant she was on probation of some sort?
If so, things could look bleak for her at the top, especially since her recent hire, Talia Hunter (Aketra Sevillian) was a risk given she drugged half the town and then left on a whim.
