‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers pose the question: Is Liam Selejko (Hank Northrop) guilty of kidnapping the DiMera family? Or is it possible he’s being framed for something he took no part in?
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Liam Has Had a Rough Life, Was In Jail, and Is Illiterate
Liam is a new character on the block whose backstory remains mostly a mystery that’s only starting to unravel. The show is weaving his tale and hopefully, the outcome will be a positive one.
I’m actually curious to learn more about this character and watch his storyline develop. Not to mention, Liam’s portrayer, Hank Northrop, is the son of the late great Wayne Northrop, who played the first Roman Brady on the soap.

So far, Northrop has played his role as the wrong side of the tracks, Liam Selejko, very convincingly. His father’s history, combined with his and Hank’s close connection to the show, makes his character all the more intriguing.
Liam has obviously had a rough life and a shady past. He was arrested for grand theft auto and some other random crimes.
Liam also struggled throughout his life with illiteracy, which has followed him into adulthood. He was recently in jail, and one of the conditions of his prison release was to attend tutoring sessions and learn to read.

He was being tutored by Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and was slowly making progress. Liam truly seems invested in bettering himself.
Unfortunately, Liam also bullied Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) so mercilessly at school that Theo said he made his life “miserable.”
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Liam Has a Checkered Family History
Liam’s parents were in and out of jail while he was growing up. Now, he has a young son, Gage, and is struggling desperately financially.
The mother of his child overdosed on drugs and passed away, a tragic anecdote that Abe found out about in the January 27th episode of DOOL.
Liam obviously has some darkness he’s currently battling. He recently brought his son to the Tom Horton Free Clinic for treatment, and during the visit, Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) saw he had a hand injury that appeared to be a knife wound.

Sarah had asked him about it, but he avoided answering by shifting the focus back to his son. So far, the wound has not been explained.
Plus, Liam also tried to steal Cat Greene’s (AnnaLynn McCord) purse a few weeks back, but he seemed genuinely remorseful about it, and even a little embarrassed. Abe had given Liam some money to get food for him and his son.
He seemed very thankful and even offered to pay him back. Abe told him that Liam showing up to his tutoring session and being a good father to his son was thanks enough for him.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Rafe Gave Abe Disturbing News
In the January 28th episode of DOOL, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) filled Abe in on some disturbing news. Rafe told Abe that Liam was somehow involved in Theo’s kidnapping.
It kind of makes sense, given his history, plus he bullied Theo in school. Liam and Theo obviously have their own complicated past.

However, I’m not fully convinced of his guilt at this point. Liam doesn’t strike me as someone who would resort to a crime as serious as kidnapping an entire family.
Yes, he’s made some whopper mistakes, but he looked as though he were trying to turn his life around and go down the right path.

He obviously loves his son. Is Liam being framed? Spoilers hint that perhaps Peter Blake (Dan Gauthier) wasn’t the one who kidnapped Theo.
It looks like Liam snatched him and handed him over, but I am still not even sold on that idea. If Liam truly did this, Abe will never forgive him. The poor kid may even give up on his journey of personal growth and learning to read; it would be a shame.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Rooting for Liam’s Innocence
It’s sad, really, and that’s why I am partly wondering, but more to the point, hoping that he isn’t guilty. Abe was starting to treat Liam like family, which was heartwarming to see. So, I’m willing to give Liam the benefit of the doubt.
If he was framed, it was undoubtedly by someone connected to the DiMeras. However, we know that Liam has a very dark past, and anything is possible.
Also, the winter preview showed that Liam is also mixed up in an upcoming shootout involving J.J. Deveraux (Casey Moss) and Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer). Whatever the case, Liam and Hank Northrop have too much potential for them to be wasted.
