Things are getting interesting in Salem with so much upheaval, but one thing that cause ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers’ attention was the possibility that Konstantin (John Kapelos) is after the Kiriakis fortune.
While he seems like a kind and gentle soul and he hit it off with Maggie Horton (Suzanne Rogers) by sharing some memories of Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston), there’s a potentially different side to him.
This is pure speculation on our part, but “Days of Our Lives” Spoilers have a feeling he’s up to something.
Since he’s staying in Salem for a while, it seems natural that he and Maggie will hit it off and could become an item over time. And that may be part of his plan.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Perfect time to step in
While Konstantin has played himself off as Victor’s lifelong friend, we think he’s actually Victor’s brother Titus Kiriakis.
Not much is known about Titus except that he’s Xander Cook (Paul Telfer)’s father, and since he hasn’t been seen in Salem there’s a good chance that only Victor and Xander know what he looks like. Assuming he hasn’t undergone and facial reconstruction surgery or anything like that.
Given Xander’s proclivities in his past life, it’s reasonable to expect he picked up a lot of those tricks from his father, especially since Victor wasn’t so sweet and innocent.
It makes sense that when Victor died he saw an opportunity to get part of the family wealth Victor may have kept from him, and came up with his Konstantin persona.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Romancing the fortune
Since he wasn’t named in Victor’s will, he’ll know Maggie would inherit at least a good chunk of it. So, he’ll set out to try to become Maggie’s close friend and eventually win her heart and marry her.
It’d be the type of scheme Titus would easily get into, and the only one he’d have to worry about thwarting his plan would be Xander, but he think he’d have a plan in place for him as well.
It just struck us that Maggie mentioned the saying about “beware Greeks bearing gifts” and he replied that his gift wasn’t a Trojan horse.
But was it? That as a pretty good play on words and could be foreshadowing.
Of course, we’d love it if this isn’t what’s to come and Konstantin is who he is. He and Maggie were cute together in their short time together and it’d be cool to see her find someone else, even if he’s just a close friend to her.
The rest of the Kiriakis clan won’t want to accept him at his word and will dig into him as much as they can.
