‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers are trying to give the new writers a chance as they change the show to fit their view, and this storyline has us curious.
When we first met Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord), she was held in the same room they found John Black (Drake Hogestyn) in.
This led to plenty of speculation as to why she was there, which we later found out was due to Clyde Weston (James Read). He wanted the DiMera fortune.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Is Cat Being Rewritten or is She an ISA Agent or Assassin to Kill EJ?
Okay, but why did Clyde kidnap and hold John? That was never answered, and the line between Cat and John being in the same room at different times was never drawn.
Like many, we thought it was a storyline that was forgotten. Like Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) looking nervous with a knife in the park right after Abigail Deveraux (Marci Miller) was murdered.
But then at John’s funeral, Cat walked by Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy) and greeted him as ‘Director’.
This shocked him, and this week it looks like they’re going to explain that.
Our question is, is she a sleeper agent for the ISA or an assassin hired to take out members of the ISA?
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers’: Rewriting her past
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers wouldn’t be surprised if the new writers were rewriting Cat’s past. It’s something we’ve seen on soaps time and again whenever new head writers come in.
They want to make their mark and share their ideas to separate from their predecessors. So far, the new writers are doing a good job of parroting Ron Carlivati, but can they tell a story as well as him?
This is where her comment to Shane may or may not be important.
It’d make sense if they’re rewriting her if she was meant to be a serious love interest for Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn).
That seems highly likely, but since the actor left the show and there’s no word on if Chad will be recast, this is an option to buy them some time.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: An agent but for whom?
Whether her past will be a rewrite or not the question remains what was her connection to John? Why did Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) look familiar? And why did she refer to Shane as Director?
As we mentioned above, Shane looked surprised. So this makes us think she’s an assassin or agent for a rival organization meant to counter the ISA.
But she had a change of heart and let bygones be bygones. But what about the Clyde angle?
She could’ve been working with Clyde from the start and brought her family along for the ride. We don’t buy that given how emotional she got around her mom and siblings.
But this is where rewrites come in handy.
She may even have been a sleeper agent for the ISA and was meant to bring John out. Since Clyde was blackmailing her and her family, she’d be the perfect asset.
But again, falling for Chad and being so emotional toward everyone seems to counter this.
As for Sami, could she have been meant to replace Sami or pretend to be her to kill EJ?
There are a lot of questions and we’re looking forward to seeing how they’re answered.
