Okay, hear us out on this one. We expressed in a previous article that if the writers want to do this, there are two options. Both had their downsides. We personally think they’re going with a recast, and it’s a wild one. We believe that Brandon Barash is going to be the new Stefano DiMera. Here’s why.

‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers: Brandon Barash returns
Another thing that hasn’t been a secret is that Brandon Barash is not finished on ‘Days of Our Lives’. In fact, it’s been widely talked about. Some have even talked about on-set sightings following Stefan’s tragic death at the hands of Lani Price (Sal Stowers). There’s just one problem. Stefan was clearly Stefan. Otherwise, why would he have gone through all the trouble of throwing himself in the path of Lani’s bullet to save Vivian Alamain (Robin Strasser)? There’s also the fact you don’t get any more dead than Stefan. Not only did he have no brain activity, but his heart was taken and given to Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes), and he was buried. Seriously. You’d have to work pretty hard to get the level of suspension of disbelief needed to swallow the real Stefan returning. They could go with a twin, but it seems like an almost too obvious choice.

‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers: The evidence
So now that we’ve put this Stefano theory out there, let’s talk evidence. ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers indicate that Princess Gina (Kristian Alfonso) is still around and now accompanied by a mystery man. In the November 14th episode, she calls the person Steffy many times while painting a portrait. She thinks an update is necessary. Possible hint that Stefano has a new face?
Also during the scene, we’re shown multiple shots of a hand, as well as shots from the back of the chair. The hand seems to be from a younger man. The frame and back of the head seems to be very close to Brandon Barash, as well. Then there’s the fact that Barash looks somewhat like Mascolo. Let’s also not forget that the phrase “Putting the ‘O’ in Stefan O. DiMera” was used before. Maybe a subtle hint at this mind-blowing move? It’s not like the writers haven’t been throwing the insane twists. It’d also be the safest recast move, from what we can see. Fans love Barash and have wanted him back ever since the news he was leaving broke.
‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers: Oh, the possibilities
Let’s just take a minute to think about the potential here. If ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers are right (as are we) this could be a goldmine of story possibilities. Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Abigail Deveraux (Kate Mansi) will surely have a hard time with this. While she and Chad now both know of Stefano’s survival, they don’t know what he looks like. Chad points out in the November 14th episode his father has refused to meet face-to-face. Can you imagine how they’d feel about this? Stefan did have a lot to do with the hell Abigail went through at Gabi DiMera’s (Camila Banus) hands.

And let’s talk Gabi. She’s in for a huge shocker soon. She may be big boss of DiMera for now, but Chad and Stefano are out to destroy her. Seeing her supposedly dead husband’s face again will be a total head game for her. It’s also the best way to get close to her and get some secrets shared. Like, oh, maybe what she did to Lani and Eli Grant (Lamon Archey)? This is going to get insane, and we’re here for it.
