‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers indicate that Brandon Barash may not be long for Salem. The actor, who debuted back in March as Stefan DiMera, took over for departing Tyler Christopher (Nikolas Cassadine). But was this just a temporary place hold? We’ll be honest here. We were not a huge fan of the change. We felt like his first scene or two came off as nastier than Stefan normally is, plus he had a much harder look on his face. That quickly changed to the other extreme, which we were not huge fans of, as Stefan almost seemed weak. He certainly fell for Gabi Hernandez’s (Camila Banus) scheme easy enough. However, the actor has grown on us as he has gotten back a bit of a harder edge in recent days that doesn’t venture into the totally crazy.

One of the biggest conversations on social media right now seems to be his pairing with Gabi. The couple has a great chemistry that we wouldn’t have bought for a second with Tyler Christopher in the role. Sometimes, it just works out that way, and the fans are loving it. Posts are praising the hot chemistry, as well as the very dysfunctional nature of their relationship. It definitely brings complexity to the table. But will it last?

The #Stabi tag on twitter is filled with fans freaking out about the impending departure of Barash, with little backup of the talk. However, some googling showed that there is a report out there claiming the actor will be departing in August, with the very real possibility of Christopher returning. We’ll have to wait and see if that’s true or not.
There is, however, a still shot that shows Kristin DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) dragging an unconscious Stefan out of the room while Gabi is also knocked out beside him. Given Gabi making reference to “Til death do us part” in Friday’s episode, could she be foreshadowing a farewell for her man? We’ll have to wait and see. If it’s true, it would be good timing, as several other characters are leaving this month. And these things have been tending to happen in groups.
