It’s not often ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers are impressed with someone’s decision in Salem since there seems to be something in the water that inhibits logic more than not, but we loved Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty)’s move to limit Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart)’s spending.
That was clearly a move Leo didn’t see coming, and now the ball will be in his court as to how he’ll respond.
The obvious one to us is he’ll write of the story for Lady Whistleblower’s newest column, but that won’t fly.
With Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) reserving final editorial rights over anything Leo writes, we feel it’s safe to say the story is deader than disco.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – Leo’s stuck
Not only did Sloan cut Leo off at the knees, Chad’s going to nearly kill him when he refuses to let him publish the hit piece accusing Sloan of stealing EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker)’s baby.
He won’t let Leo open that wound again with Nicole mourning who she thinks is her baby and being on the verge of having her daughter die.
We’d like to think Leo wouldn’t be so crass with his timing, but since his cash cow was locked away, anything’s possible.
This leaves either focusing on his articles to make more money or trying to find another way to topple Sloan.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – Wheeling and dealing
Granted, Chad may put the breaks on Leo’s article, but that doesn’t mean Leo won’t try to push it through behind Chad’s back or come at it from another angle.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers expect him to try both avenues, with the latter being the one he’ll be forced to take. To do this, we think he’ll follow Sloan everywhere and try to get a recorded confession out of her.
He may even use the brewing Brady-Kiriakis war with the DiMeras as a way to let it slip. After all, what’s worse than a grieving mother not having to grieve?
If he’s careful enough, he may get Chad to sign off on it, or he may luck out and Chad’s out of the office dealing with his own righteousness and that will allow Leo to slip in and get his story published.
We don’t see either way working out for Leo, but maybe he’ll get lucky?
