‘Days Of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Cherie Jimenez) and Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) shared a significant love story. “Stabi” has a loyal following.
’Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Jimenez Was Sad To See The End Of “Stabi”
Jimenz took over the role of Gabi from Camilla Banus, who had already established an on-screen relationship with Barash. Ironically, the actress auditioned for the role of Gabi in 2009 but didn’t get the part.
When Banus left and Cherie was hired, the actress knew she had big shoes to fill. However, she was up for the challenge. She wanted to make Stabi a success like her predecessor but put her spin on it.
During an interview at the recent Day of Days event, Cherie expressed sadness at seeing her leading man, Barash, leave the show. The chemistry she had with Barash was different from what Barash and Banus had, but Jimenez was finding her footing.
She started to feel excited about Gabi and Stefan’s relationship. Just when she was getting comfortable, the powers that be informed her that “Stabi” was going to break up due to Stefan’s drunken one-night stand with Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) and that her character would be sleeping with his brother, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), to get even.
“I believe Stefan and Gabi are end game,”
Cherie elaborates.
“They have gone through so much, and if they make it through this, I believe they are meant to be,”
She explains.
“Now, unfortunately, we have gone through a divorce. He cheated on me while I was in prison with the mafia queen, and then I slept with his brother for revenge. It’s just been tit for tat, and unfortunately, it hasn’t led us in the right direction,”
She admitted.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Gabi And Stefan Shared A Heartbreaking Goodbye
Jimenez said that she shared her first screen test with Barash. She admitted that she misses her on-screen partner. “I started this whole experience with Brandon, my screen test with him, my fist day, everything, she said.
“He’s been such an incredible friend. I loved every moment working with him. I think he’s one of the most talented actors I’ve ever worked with.”
In the final scene between Gabi and Stefan at the DiMera mansion, Stefan declares his love for Gabi, even though they are going through with their divorce. The magic between them was palpable as the characters cried as they said their heartbreaking final goodbyes.
Gabi lovingly touched Stefan’s face once more before she exited the room. The couple left things unsaid and undone, and viewers wondered if they would go through with a legal separation.
Gabi and Stefan’s greatest obstacle is his mother, Vivian Alamian (Louise Sorel), who had her manservant sneak into the mansion and knock Stefan unconscious. She aims to keep her son and Gabi apart.
Vivian forged a letter from Stefan telling Gabi that he couldn’t get past her betrayal. It looks like the end for Gabi and Stefan, but Jimenez doesn’t want “Stabi” fans to abandon all hope.
“Anything can happen,”
She mused.
“Characters do come back so I’m hopeful, and we’re just gonna leave it at that.”
