Days of Our Lives spoilers for Wednesday, June 18: Making plans
First, Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal some planning. Now that he is on the road to recovery, Bo and Hope need to figure out what their future holds. From the weekly, we know that whatever it is won’t be in Salem. The pair will leave town to chase whatever lies ahead for them. Of course, from the special dinner for Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols), we know they’ll be helping to track down that stolen necklace for Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes). So, it’s possible we’ll see the pair at some point again, even if just through a phone call.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for Wednesday, June 18: A look back
Speaking of that necklace, we think it plays a part in the only other teaser for Wednesday, June 18. It seems major moments in the lives of young Alice and Tom Horton (Sydney K. Smith/Zach Chyz) come to light. Since several people have now been looking for that stolen heirloom, we assume Steve and Hope’s digging will lead to some information about when and why the necklace was bought to begin with. We’ll likely see the couple celebrating some milestone where the necklace is the gift. Or, maybe there is something else darker going on and the necklace was some apology. Given what we’ve heard of this couple, we’re guessing the former is the most likely.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for Wednesday, June 18: Reflecting
Finally, Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal we mentioned Bo and Hope are leaving town. This has us thinking over this return and how it’s played out. We have to say, we’re a little underwhelmed. It felt like this was a gimmick/plot device more than anything. Like, they weren’t brought back for a story for their own sake. They were just there to facilitate writing John Black (Drake Hogestyn) out. At least, that’s how it feels.
Plus, we didn’t get much of them reunited, which feels a bit of a cheat. Like, why did Hope let Bo go alone to that wake instead of joining him? The man just woke from a coma and he’s walking around town by himself? And she’s gossiping with the girls instead of speaking time with him?
And, of course, we mentioned this before, but we still think they messed up by not only not including Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) in the reunion, but didn’t even really explain his absence. This was a major moment for Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) and his children. Why wouldn’t he be by her side for this? We hope the next time we see any of these characters, they do better by them.
