Days of Our Lives spoilers for Thursday, April 3: Mystery ahead
First, Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal EJ gets shot. We’ve known this was coming since the Day of Days promo came out. We have to admit, they’ve definitely got a long list of suspects ready to go. In the last episode alone, Gabi DiMera (Cherie Jimenez) was going on about taking him out. Johnny was looking at Roman Brady’s (Josh Taylor) gun after admitting he’d wanted to stab EJ during their last talk. And Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) was outside the mansion with a gun. That’s not even counting the several others who have reason and motive to get rid of him.
If there is anyone we’d count out right now, it would be Ava. First, we learned the actress has wrapped her run on Days. Second, it feels way too easy for her to be the shooter, given what we saw. Of course, with the way the writing has shifted in the lead-up to a new team taking over, we might have to rethink that position. They didn’t exactly wrap Body and Soul very well with the Whitley King (Kim Coles) angle. Joy Wesley’s (AlexAnn Hopkins) exit was abrupt and weird. Plus, there was that weird writing and editing during the confrontation between Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and Orpheus (George DelHoyo).

Elsewhere, Chad is upset, so Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) tries to comfort him. Clearly, he’s heard about EJ getting shot and is likely dealing with more than worry about his condition. He might even be feeling some guilt. He did, after all, just publish a piece in the Spectator all about EJ’s many sins, as well as the other sins of the DiMera family. It wouldn’t be that much of a stretch for him to wonder if the two things are connected.

Finally, Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal Chanel worries about how Johnny will cope following the shooting. It’s no secret Johnny has been furious with EJ since the news of what he did to Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney). And it got worse with the failed adoption. So, given how ugly their last interactions were and Johnny saying EJ is dead to him, it would be natural for Johnny to feel guilty. Unless, of course, he did it and he’s happy about it. One can’t take him off the suspect list…
