    Days of Our Lives spoilers for Friday, May 23 reveal Bo Brady’s (Peter Reckell) condition gets worse. Meanwhile, Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) shares a secret with Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). Plus, Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) hopes for the best. Here’s what you need to know.

    Days of Our Lives spoilers for Friday, May 23: Goodbye?

    First, Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) is by her mother’s side as Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) prepares to say goodbye to Bo. We’ll see some flashbacks as she reminisces, but it’s clear this is not the end. After all, the 60th preview makes it clear that Hope is in Salem and not mourning any loss. And we’ve already heard that both Reckell and Alfonso are returning, so there will clearly be a last-minute save. And it’s all tied together with another story.

    Days of Our Lives spoilers for Friday, May 23: Confession time

    Elsewhere, Kayla tells Marlena about the mission she’s on. Sounds like she’ll actually confess to the theft plan and how they’re trying to track the missing drug. We wonder if she’ll hire Marlena as her therapist first. Confidentiality and all that.

    Sadly, this is all tied in to losing John Black (Drake Hogestyn). From the preview, it’s clear that their conversation will end with news about John getting hurt. As we saw on Thursday, May 22, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) called his old buddy to help retrieve the drug Bo needs to live. Something will go wrong and cause the lab to explode, causing the injuries Kayla mentioned in the promo. We do believe, however, that before that happens John will play hero one last time by getting the others out of harm’s way, and likely with the drug. It’s the main way we see Bo surviving. Unless, of course, the theories about John’s organs being donated are correct. We’re just sad that he and Marlena didn’t at least have an off-screen encounter before this all went down.

    Days of Our Lives spoilers for Friday, May 23: Prayers

    Finally, Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal Julie prays for a miracle. Obviously, she’s praying for Bo to recover, even when it looks like he won’t. she knows the pain of such a loss, and she won’t want Hope to deal with that. From everything we’re seeing, that miracle will come, even if it’s not the way Julie would hope it happens.
