‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers finds that comings and goings in soaps is a regular thing, and we’re set to welcome back an old favorite when Clive Weston (James Read) returns on October 16’s episode.
We haven’t seen Clive since EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) shot him and he was taken into custody for killing Abigail Deveraux (Marci Miller).
We’re still not happy with that storyline after being teased with Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) possibly seeing the murder and having a steak knife in a bag that could’ve linked him to it we never saw after the brief tease.
It felt rushed and cheap the way they ignored various parts for a more forced and streamlined conclusion that never really felt right. Especially since Clive had every reason to not commit a murder.
But anyway, that was than, and now he’s going to be back for a short time, though there hasn’t been any word on how long he’ll be there or if he’ll be in his own storyline.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: EJ’s recruit
It looks like he’ll end up running into Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) for a few scenes, and if those reports are true it’s got us wondering why.
Ava was released and will be able to restart her life free of repercussions unless EJ decides he’s not done.
EJ may have promised Susan Banks (Stacey Haiduk) he won’t try to kill Ava again, but his look after Susan hugged him said something else.
Because of that, ‘Days of Our Lives’ are thinking it’s possible that EJ will turn toward Clive to help him in this endeavor.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Double dealing
They have no reason to trust each other, but EJ could manage to pull a few strings now that there’s no DA in office and everything falling to pieces, and since he knows some judges he could possibly have Clyde’s sentence reduced.
All Clive will have to do is kill Ava without a trail leading to either of them, and then EJ can kill him and all loose ends are taken care of.
This may make more sense than we think since Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) is still intent on proving EJ tried to kill Ava, and this could end up leading to a confrontation between them once again.
Of course, Clive may like his latest taste of freedom and want his own revenge on EJ, so he could go straight to Rafe and turn EJ in and work as a double agent to set him up.
There are so many possibilities here and we can’t wait to see if we’re right and what the writers have planned.
What do you think Clive’s storyline is going to be? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘Days of Our Lives’ for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
