‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers have long wished for a true big bad like Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) to return to the show.

While Stefano’s shoes are impossible to fill, they had a great chance with Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barish).

He’s a mix of DiMera and Alamain and would’ve been a phenomenal big bad if the writers hadn’t messed his potential up.

EJ DiMera (Daniel Feuerriegel) would be a great fit, but they’ve humanized him as well, so it looks like the new regime went to plan T with Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews).

Granted, the old Theo was at least likable, while this new version is bitter, a professional victim, and is quick to use his autism as a weapon to bludgeon others into submission.

Despite being likable, Theo showed his inner DiMera for a while, and Abe Carver (James Reynolds) helped it to grow.

How? Well, we can think of one example and it’s something we never forgave Theo or Abe for doing.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Theo’s feelings were more important than Ciara Brady

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers remembers well how Ciara Brady (Victoria Konnefal) had amnesia.

She was married to Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson). She was kidnapped and held, but after she tried to free herself, the resulting explosion left her with short term amnesia.

Basically, she could remember everything but that she loved and was married to Ben. So, she was afraid of him as she only knew him as the Necktie Killer.

It makes sense, and it was a great chance for everyone to gather around and help her.

Instead, Theo turned predator and moved in to ‘protect’ her by making her his. They became a couple and no one but Ben batted an eye.

In fact, Abe kept giving Theo a pass by telling him as long as he’s happy, that’s what matters.

So, it was perfectly okay for Theo to take advantage of a married woman suffering amnesia. When she got her memory back and returned to Ben, Ben was the one who had to pay nice.

Theo skated, and then left town for South Africa.

Aside from getting off without an issue, it reminiscent of Stefan taking raping Abigail Deveraux (Marci Miller). Thankfully, Theo didn’t take it that far.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Taking his place

Now that Theo is back, he’s changed in that he’s quick to weaponize his autism to shame others into shutting up and agreeing it.

He’s suffering from PTSD, but he’s also used it to play a professional victim and try to smear JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss)’s name and ruin his career.

That at least can be helped with therapy, but in general, he’s returned far colder and calculating.

He’s poised to take over DiMera and become the big bad the show has needed for years, and it should be fun to watch.

After all, he’s off to the perfect start in his run for that position.

Is Theo going to be the next Stefano? Let us know in the comments below.
