‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers relate that things just keep getting worse (or better, depending on your perspective) as it’s still Christmas Eve in Salem. Missed the action? No worries, we have your Days of Our Lives spoilers right here in your daily Days of Our Lives recap. Let’s see what kind of trouble they’re getting into now…

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoiers: Thursday, December 20 Recap: The custody drama heats up…

The episode opens with Eric and Sarah arriving to get Maggie and Holly. They want to show off the place Eric got, hoping this will tip the scales in Eric’s favor. Unfortunately, when they got there, neither is anywhere to be found. They’re about to take off to search for her when Maggie arrives. She assures them Holly is fine and she’d left her with Chloe. Sarah is furious and goes off on her mother. Maggie ain’t having it, and tells Sarah off, insisting that she won’t apologize for what she did, because she thinks she’s doing right by Holly.

Meanwhile, Chloe has put Holly down for a nap after assuring the little girl Santa has strict instructions to leave any presents here with Chloe, where she’ll stay. Brady comes along and Chloe admits to feeling like she might not be worthy as well, since she kept Holly from Nicole for a time. Brady, of course, assures her that’s not the case and reminds her of his Nicole-related sins. Of course, he still won’t admit that he’s lying about what he thinks Nicole meant by telling Eric to watch after Holly. Eric shows up and gives Chloe hell for just taking Holly when the custody issue is still in the air and vows to fight for her.

Later, Sarah decides to apologize and explains why she’s trying to help. Maggie points out that Eric’s situation (as Sarah describes it) sounds a lot like what Sarah went through. She admits that there are some similarities, which leads to Sarah breaking the news that she’s staying in Salem.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Digging deeper…

Looks like Gabi is digging herself in deeper by the minute. Or, trying to anyway. She can’t quite seem to bring herself to smother Julie, even as she monologues the whole episode about the evil done to her and how Julie’s been against her since her near-rape and the murder. She won’t allow herself to be a victim again, or put Ari through the trauma of her leaving again. Twice, she tries to put the pillow over Julie’s head when someone comes in and interrupts her.

The first interruption is JJ, and Gabi pretends to just be concerned because she feels guilty for having chased Julie away. As I recall, the full story she tells sounds a little different than what she said before, and the time before that. Hmm. She better hope she doesn’t get brought in for an interrogation.

The second interruption is Abigail herself, and it ends the episode, so we’re just going to have to wait and see what happens.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Delusional, or no?

Speaking of Abigail, she’s spent most of the episode plotting her escape. She meets with someone she offers a large sum of money to in exchange for ending her marriage to Stefan. As the man was involved in the marraige and feels bad for him, apparently it’s going to take 50K to get it done.

Abigail balks at the price until he says he’ll call Stefan. Seeing as how she wants to get free of anyone who can commit her so bad (and how she had to do some fast talking to get out of the house), she’s not taking any chances and agrees to the amount.

Back at the mansion, Marlena, who feels guilty about possibly missing something that might have allowed this “relapse” to happen, has gone to find Abigail. Instead, Stefan is waiting. She tries to reason with him, insisting that his obsession with Gabby-with-a-Y is unhealthy and unsustainable.

In the spirit of Christmas, she insists that she doesn’t hate him and genuinely wants to help. She asks what’ll happen when Abigail takes back control, which she believes is inevitable, as well asking him what the ones who love Abigail are supposed to do, just accept it?

He disagrees that Gabby-with-a-Y is leaving any time soon, and doesn’t feel he has any fault in this whole situation. When this all does come crashing down on him, he can’t say he wasn’t warned. And once again, I actually feel really bad for the guy. His scenes with the baby are so sweet, and his aching for a family is a nice touch, making him more than some typical bad guy. I guess we’ll see if Abigail’s guy comes through on the divorce….
