Days of Our Lives spoilers relate that JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) continues his investigation, Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) get a surprise, and there may be trouble for Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) after when he returns from the not wild goose chase. In case you missed the Days of Our Lives spoilers, catch up on the highlights with your Days of Our Lives recap.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Claire Looking Guiltier By the Moment, Lighter In SPD’s Possession Mean Her Time Is Coming Soon!

Claire Brady (Olivia Rose Keegan) is not happy when she finds JJ trying to take that lighter out of her jewelry box. She goes off on him for going into her personal things and taking stuff without permission, looking completely unhinged. JJ reminds her of his theory and that he wanted to bring that lighter to the cops. Claire, of course, points out that she never actually agreed to that. Apparently deciding she’ll make herself look guiltier by arguing more, she allows JJ to take it. He brings it to Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) for testing, although he admits it a bit of a longshot. Get ready, Claire, because it looks like your time is coming…

    Everyone else comes first

So, it looks like Jordan Ridgeway (Chrishell Hartley) knew what she was talking about. There was, in fact, a six-month-old waiting for her in California. Rafe brings the child back, pulling him in Eli’s care for the moment. With that settled, Hope tries to keep their re-re-scheduled anniversary date, but Rafe puts the brakes on that idea. Seems he needs to get to Jordan to let her know the baby is here and safe, and Hope can’t even. She calls him out for always running off to help an ex, and how everyone and everything seems to be coming before her. And this time, we can sort of take her side. There are ways, we’re sure, that Rafe the cop can get a phone conversation with Jordan in place of visiting. She’s not so sure she wants to be in this marriage any more, and leaves. Later, Ted Laurent (Gilles Marini) comes across her and doesn’t seem to waste any time re-earning the Pepe Laurent title. And Hope doesn’t look like it’s bothering her much.

    Baby fever

Rafe might have made the dumbest move ever by having Eli take charge of the kid while they’re trying to find the father or some other family to take him in. Why? Because, Lani Price (Sal Stowers) walks in and falls instantly in love. She offers to try calming the baby, and gets obviously moved by hearing the baby shares her dead son’s name, as well as being the age hers would have been, had he been born at the right time and lived. Later, Rafe comes in to ask Eli to hold on to the child for a while longer while he visits Jordan. Lani is more than happy to accept that request, and looks a little too happy to be holding on to the kid for longer. This can only end well…

    Tech issues

The big rally is on, but not before Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves) take their shots at Jack and tell him for the hundredth time what the old him would think of his actions. He fights back, and Eve is, of course, there to sooth his ego and keep him on the path to her power.

To that end, she’s called the press conference and has a video setup all ready to go. As the gathered crowd anxiously waits to hear what the announcement is, Eve and Jack go on about Hayley Chen (Thia Megia) and her fake marriage to try gaming the system once more. They tease proof and direct everyone’s attention to the screen. Unfortunately for them, someone must be on Hayley’s side, because nothing comes up. As Eve checks things out, she discovers the video is gone. To save face, Eve eventually announces she and Jack are getting married.

As for the target of their fury, Hayley and Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) have been talked into going to the rally by Claire. She reasons they need to know what they’re up against and get a feel for the reactions of the people. She, of course, offers to go as well so she can “pretend” to be the jilted ex. Unfortunately for Claire, the video obviously didn’t play, so Tripp, Hayley, and JJ take advantage of the “technical glitch” to make jokes about Jack. What scheme will Claire and Team Jack come up with next? We’ll have to wait and see.
